Chameleon Island is populated by chameleons that have developed a sophisticated civilisation with a high dependence on electricity and oil, howbeit with unintended consequences, climate change. Climate change, due to the build up of greenhouse gases threatens the chameleon civilisation.

The games (both current and future) tell a story of how the chameleons, through the leadership of Lord Rasputia, devise a plan, in the form of the Climate Change Bill, to reverse their fate by cutting down on carbon emissions and realise some of their ancient prestine environments that were enjoyed by their ancestors.

Any resemblance to real characters, places and governments is purely coincidental.
